Part-Time Personal Banker/Teller Internship (Paid)

Purpose: The Personal Banker/Teller Intern provides exceptional member service while gaining hands-on experience in retail banking operations. This internship offers exposure to teller transactions, account services, financial products, and member relationship management under the guidance of experienced credit union professionals.

Responsibilities
- Welcome members with friendly, professional service.
- Assist members with opening checking, savings, and certificate accounts.
- Process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and other teller transactions.
- Receive and verify cash and checks.
- Educate members on credit union products and services based on member's needs that are obtained from member interviews and/or review of member's account.
- Research accounts for deposit, withdrawal, and loan-payment discrepancies.
- Take loan applications and close loans.
- Verify member identification, signatures, and account balances.
- Answer member questions in person and by telephone.
- Maintain accurate cash handling procedures and balance transactions.
- Promote a positive member experience while following established credit union policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will have:
- Strong math skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Dependability and professionalism
- Ability to work well in a team environment
Preferred but not required:
- Currently enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's degree program in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
